Chair – Geoff Rowe
Mr Rowe is an appointed member. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Aged and Disability Advocacy Australia and brings to the Board 40 years’ experience in human services, including senior executive positions in the Queensland Government and not-for-profit sector. His current statutory appointments include the Queensland Voluntary Assisted Dying Review Board and the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee’s Aged Care Advisory Group.

Mr Peter Brewer
Mr Brewer is an appointed member. He is an experienced company director and business leader with more than four decades of leadership experience across the Queensland real estate and property sector. He has held senior executive, governance and advisory roles across private enterprise, franchising and industry bodies, with a strong focus on strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement, organisational growth and governance. Mr Brewer served for more than 10 years on the Board of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland, including several years as Chair. During this period, he worked closely with industry and government stakeholders to support governance reform, professional standards, member engagement and organisational sustainability. His broader career includes leadership of a major real estate franchise network operating across Australia, New Zealand and Asia, as well as extensive experience in business operations, communications, training and leadership development. Mr Brewer is a licensed real estate agent in Queensland, a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and has served as a Commissioner for Declarations in Queensland for more than 25 years. He brings to the Board practical governance experience, strong community and industry networks, and a long-standing commitment to ethical leadership and public accountability.

Ms Susan Brook
Ms Brook is a permanent member and is the Executive Director, Culture and Community, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, at the Department of Women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships and Multiculturalism. She is an accomplished leader in education, holding a Bachelor of Education (First Class Honours) and a Master of Leadership. With extensive experience across both the state and non-state sectors, she has served as a principal and educator across a variety of educational settings. Her time as a school principal has shaped her understanding of the diverse needs of students, and she prioritises their perspectives in every initiative she undertakes. Whether it’s through fostering global competence, ensuring access to quality education in remote areas, or promoting language education, Ms Brook is committed to realising the potential of every student.

Ms Michelle Bullen
Ms Bullen is a permanent member and is an Executive Director at the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety. She has worked for the Queensland Government for over 30 years in roles involving governance, strategy development, system oversight and service delivery. Ms Bullen has extensive experience in safeguarding vulnerable people through effective complaint management, regulatory oversight and performance monitoring. She has worked in human service environments including child protection, disability and seniors, as well as statutory oversight agencies including the Office of the Queensland Ombudsman and the Queensland Audit Office. In her current role, she develops strategies and drives initiatives aimed at improving and streamlining the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety’s performance as a registered NDIS provider including quality assurance and compliance functions. Ms Bullen is also responsible for key safeguards and promoting the inclusion and active participation of Queenslanders with disability.

Dr Pip Coore
Dr Coore is an appointed member. She is a barrister specialising in equity, trusts, succession, and estate litigation, with particular experience in matters involving capacity, substituted decision making and the protection of financial interests. She holds a DPhil in Law and a Master of Laws from the University of Oxford, is recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a Leading Wills and Estates Litigation Junior Counsel, and is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Law. Dr Coore brings to the Board significant legal expertise, together with a strong understanding of the frameworks that safeguard the rights and interests of vulnerable Queenslanders.

Ms Nicole Cravigan
Ms Cravigan is a permanent member and is an Assistant Under Treasurer at Queensland Treasury. She is a senior executive with over 20 years’ experience in government, working in policy and financial roles across various social and industry portfolios, including health, justice, transport and community services.

Ms Jane Crombie
Ms Crombie is an appointed member. She is a health professional with experience across public health systems in Australia and the United Kingdom. Her career spans speech pathology clinical practice, health service leadership, and workforce development within large healthcare organisations. Ms Crombie brings a strong understanding of health system governance, service delivery, and risk, informed by her experience managing teams and contributing to education and capability building within the sector. She currently works at The University of Queensland, strengthening the future healthcare workforce through clinical education. In addition to her health sector expertise, she is a small business owner with interests in both the healthcare and agricultural sectors, providing practical insight into governance, financial stewardship, and strategic decision making. Ms Crombie has extensive personal and professional experience supporting people living with disability and is a passionate advocate for equitable communication access. She holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and a Graduate Certificate in Health Management.

Aunty Faith Green
Aunty Faith is an appointed member. She is a highly respected First Nations community leader based in Logan, with ancestral and cultural connections to the Waka Waka and Gubbi Gubbi peoples through her mother and the Koa Nation through her father. Her work is grounded in the strength, resilience, and cultural knowledge of her people. She is widely regarded as a mentor and role model, particularly for young First Nations women and emerging community leaders. As Chief Executive Officer of Gunya Meta Inc, Aunty Faith leads a community-controlled, not-for-profit organisation supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families through culturally safe early childhood, family support, education, and community programs. Aunty Faith has an extensive background in early childhood, school, and community education settings. She is a strong voice for embedding First Nations perspectives in curricula, supporting Indigenous student success, and building culturally competent and responsive workplaces. She is a committed advocate for reconciliation, engaging with government, service providers, and community partners to promote genuine, respectful relationships with First Nations peoples.

Ms Corynne Scott
Ms Scott is a permanent member and is the Acting Deputy Director-General, Corporate Services in the Department of Justice. She provides strategic leadership and management of the Department of Justice’s corporate functions, including human resources, finance, infrastructure services, legal counsel and information technology, and oversees implementation of best practice corporate policies, programs and systems to enable frontline service delivery. Ms Scott has deep knowledge of the justice portfolio, extensive strategic financial management expertise and has led multifaceted teams in the public sector for over two decades. She holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) and is a member of CPA Australia.
Board membership
The Public Trustee Advisory and Monitoring Board consists of both appointed members and permanent members.
There must be at least five, and not more than six, members appointed by the Attorney-General for a term of up to three years. These members may be reappointed. The appointed Board members are chosen to reflect the diversity of the Queensland community. At least one appointed member must be an Aboriginal person or Torres Strait Islander person. In addition, appointed members must have knowledge, qualifications, skills, or experience in one or more of the following areas:
- lived experience of impaired capacity, including as a carer or family member of a person with impaired capacity
- advocacy, services and support for seniors and persons with a disability, including persons with impaired capacity
- corporate governance, finance and banking, financial investment, financial services, insurance, the management of financial funds, financial risk or trusts
- commercial litigation, duties and obligations of trustees, powers of attorney, substituted decision-making for adults with impaired capacity, succession law, the principles and rules of equity
- human resource management and culture change management.
The permanent members are the chief executives, or a senior executive nominated by the relevant chief executive, of the Queensland Government departments:
- in which the Public Trustee Act 1978 is administered
- in which the Financial Accountability Act 2009 is administered
- in which the Disability Services Act 2006 is administered
- that is mainly responsible for seniors
- in which the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 and the Torres Strait Islander Cultural Heritage Act 2003 are administered.
